Agile Transformation and Agile frameworks implementation

Transforming an entire company into a true Agile framework has its rules and process. There is a big difference in “doing” Agile and “being” Agile where the latter is a paradigm change. It cannot and should not be rushed as it involves changing people´s behavior. Shaping the company culture is essential. Otherwise it is just another technical implementation, another missed opportunity and yet another talent waste.

Implementing Agile Processes, Practices & Values

  1. designing, implementing, developing and promoting Agile methodologies, principles, values and practices across all levels and departments in an organization
  2. ensuring that Agile practices are consistently used throughout the organization
  3. enabling teams to operate in a collaborative and integrative way

Teaching & Training

  1. coaching, mentoring and educating employees at all levels on Agile principles and frameworks
  2. providing or organizing training about JIRA, Confluence, Trello, agile collaboration tools (Jamboard, Mural, Miro, Lucidspark, etc.)

Company Culture shift and shaping. Innovation, collaboration

Agile Transformation means culture change or improvement. The 1st bullet of Agile Manifesto says “People and Interactions over Processes and Tools” and there is a lot of truth in it. Strong team sits at the heart of an Agile company and such team needs to be built with Team Building & Cohesion, Feedback Culture, Psychological Safety, New ways of working, etc…)

  1.  encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the organization
  2. developing new techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency, and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation
  3. driving cultural change by championing and promoting Agile mindset, self-organization, empirical control processing, Agile manifesto, etc.

    Organization Support

Organizational agility is critical to respond sufficiently to challenges. Unfortunately, most businesses’ organizational structures, processes, and cultures were developed more than a century ago. They were built for control and stability, not innovation, speed, and agility. Small incremental changes to how businesses manage, strategize, and execute are insufficient to remain competitive. This requires a leaner and more Agile approach which, in turn, requires sweeping changes that have a positive, long-lasting impact on the entire enterprise.

    4. facilitating regular and recurring department & company All Hands & Offsite events that established an ongoing sense of alignment, purpose, and belonging

    Leadership support

Business agility requires a new approach to leadership. It starts with leaders exemplifying behaviors that will inspire and motivate the organization to pursue a better way of working. They set the example by coaching, empowering, and engaging individuals and teams to reach their highest potential through Lean and Agile principles and practices.

      Team support and individual coaching

As said, Team sits at the heart of an Agile company. Yet, a team consists from  a number of diverse and unique individuals with distinct perspectives, motivation, skills, capablilities and social backgrounds.  It is imperative the team as welll as individuals receive high-caliber coaching & support so that they can shine, grow and deliver value to customers. Recognition plays a vital role here.

      1. supporting teams to become autonomous, self-organized, and multidisciplinary
      2. helping teams plan and host regular and recurring innovation, exploration, and celebration events with key stakeholders
      3. identifying and managing cross-team dependencies and advising teams on the prioritization of tasks based on data gained from KPIs and OKRs so that they can effectively track business performance and maintain a sustainable rate of delivery
      4. removing impediments
      5. facilitating and teaching how to lead events such as reviews, retrospectives, and stand-up meetings, and continuously improving custom agile framework based on current learnings

      Customized workshops and trainings

Agile Transformation is never a white label solution. Making things fit-for-purpose  and tailored to the market conditions, requires some customization. Principles must stay intact though. Reaching to collective brainpower asks for creating & facilitating custom workshops (Design Thinking, Strategy, Objective Planning, Impact Mapping, User Journey Mapping…)
